Meet Next Gen was created from a simple belief: when communities come together to support one another, real change becomes possible. Our mission is to uplift, connect, and create opportunities so every family and every business in Rockland County has the chance to thrive.”

Quisha Coleman, founder

Our Story

Meet Next Gen was founded in 2019 by community advocate Qui Joacin after returning home to Rockland County and witnessing changes that were affecting families, youth, and local businesses. While the community remained vibrant and diverse, there was a growing need for positive engagement, stronger connections, and opportunities that uplifted both residents and entrepreneurs.

What began as a grassroots initiative focused on bringing families together through community events quickly grew into something larger. Meet Next Gen began creating spaces where residents could connect, where students could find encouragement and resources, and where local businesses could gain visibility and support.

Today, Meet Next Gen operates as a Business and Community Alliance serving Rockland County, focused on strengthening both economic opportunity and community wellbeing. Through programs like the Back to School Festival, Turkey Drive, Christmas Drive, park cleanups, and community networking events, the organization continues to build bridges between residents, businesses, nonprofits, and local leaders.

Spring Valley is one of the most diverse communities in New York, and Meet Next Gen reflects that diversity. The organization works to ensure every resident—regardless of background—has access to opportunities, resources, and a supportive network.

From supporting small businesses to serving families in need, Meet Next Gen remains committed to creating a stronger, more connected Rockland County for the next generation.

Back to School Festival
Meet Next Gen Back to School Festival has become one of our most impactful community initiatives. Each year, hundreds of students receive backpacks, school supplies, and essential resources to help them start the school year prepared and confident. The festival also brings together local businesses, nonprofits, volunteers, and community leaders who work collectively to support the success of the next generation.

Christmas Toy Drive
Through our annual Christmas Drive, Meet Next Gen has distributed over 5,000 toys to children and families across Rockland County. This initiative ensures that families facing financial challenges can still experience the joy and magic of the holiday season. With the help of sponsors, donors, and volunteers, we continue to bring smiles to children and strengthen the spirit of giving in our community.

Senior Housing Turkey Drive
Each year, Meet Next Gen ensures that senior residents across Rockland County are remembered during the Thanksgiving season. Through our Senior Housing Turkey Drive, volunteers and community partners distribute holiday meals to seniors living in housing communities, helping ensure they experience warmth, dignity, and support during the holidays.

Community Partnerships
Meet Next Gen continues to build strong partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and leaders throughout Rockland County. These collaborations help expand opportunities for residents, support small businesses, and allow our programs to reach more families each year.

With the continued support of sponsors, partners, and community donors, Meet Next Gen will keep expanding opportunities and creating meaningful impact for families across Rockland County.
